Se trata de la nueva edición del Tratado de Anatomía humana, descriptiva, topográfica y funcional de Henri Rouvière y André Delmas revisada por Vincent Delmas. Es una obra clásica que en sucesivas ediciones ha ido mejorando para mantener su vigente actualidad proporcionando una exposición didáctica, completa y actualizada de las estructuras corporales. Se trata de un tomo nuevo dedicado al Sistema Nervioso Central. Se ha incorporado una parte nueva sobre anatomía funcional del SNC que completa la parte descriptiva, que en la edición anterior formaba parte del Tomo 3. Su iconografía es precisa y clara, incluye imágenes fotográficas, radiográficas, tomodensitométricas y las obtenidas por resonancia magnética nuclear. Además al final de este tomo y del 3 se incluye un pequeño atlas de imágenes por RM. Al inicio de cada tomo hay un Índice de la nómina anatómica que facilita una referencia anatómica internacional. Además junto a la nueva terminología, cada vez que aparece un término anatómico nuevo se incluye, entre paréntesis, los términos referentes a epónimos o a aquellas denominaciones consideradas tradicionales. De esta manera se permite que los estudiantes comprendan más fácilmente la terminología que emplean los clínicos, y que no siempre coincide con la de los anatomistas.
